Terms of Service & License
Welcome to Lock-A-Tone ("Lock-A-Tone", "we", "us"). By browsing the site, downloading a free sound, or completing a purchase, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. License Grant
When you download a Lock-A-Tone sound (free or paid) we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that sound for your personal, non-commercial purposes — typically as a custom Tesla lock chime or horn sound on the vehicle(s) you personally own or operate.
2. Restrictions
You may not, directly or indirectly:
- resell, sublicense, rent or transfer the sound, in whole or in part, even for free;
- redistribute the file or share download links publicly (forums, file-hosts, Discord servers, etc.);
- upload the sound to streaming, social, or user-generated-content platforms (Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, SoundCloud, etc.);
- embed the sound into another product, app, game, advertisement or commercial broadcast;
- claim authorship of the sound or remove this license notice;
- use the sound in any manner that violates applicable law or the rights of a third party.
Each download link is single-buyer only. You may install the sound on the vehicle(s) you personally own; sharing the file with friends or other Tesla owners is not permitted — please send them to lockatone.com instead.
3. Refund Policy
Lock-A-Tone sounds are digital products delivered immediately by email after purchase. Because the file can be saved as soon as the download link is opened, all sales are final once the download link has been issued.
If you experience a verifiable technical failure (e.g. the link does not work, the file is corrupt, the wrong sound was delivered) please contact us at support@lock-a-tone.com within 14 days and we will issue a replacement or, where a replacement is not possible, a full refund.
4. Trademark Disclaimer
Independent project. Tesla® is a trademark of Tesla, Inc. Not affiliated. All Lock-A-Tone sounds are original, look-a-like compositions inspired by the cars we love — they are not extracted from, derived from, or licensed by Tesla, Inc. Tesla®, Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck are trademarks of Tesla, Inc.
5. Disclaimer & Liability
The site and the sounds are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the sounds are fit for any particular purpose, will play correctly on every vehicle firmware, or will be free of interruption or error. Installing custom sounds on a Tesla vehicle is done at your own risk and may be subject to your vehicle's terms of service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lock-A-Tone's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the site or any sound is limited to the amount you actually paid for the affected sound (or zero, for free downloads).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the EU. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts of the seller's place of establishment, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you may enjoy in your country of residence.
